Men's Basketball Faces #8 Hampden-Sydney in Wooster Invitational Championship

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman men's basketball team advances to the Wooster Invitational Championship game against #8 Hampden Sydney today at 4:30 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman defeated The College of Wooster in last nights thrilling match up with a final score of 82-80 to advance to the championship game. 
* This improves the team to 2-0 overall this season. 
* The team was led by Miles McGowen totaling 17 points in the contest. 
* Other double digit scorers included Rocco Richie (15), Cole Pride (13), and Kobe Stoudemire (11). 
Bradley Harden led the team on the boards recording six rebounds. 
* The Fightin' Engineers earned a win in their season opener over DePauw with a final score of 73-55.
* Rose-Hulman has been picked to finish fifth in this year's HCAC Preseason Poll receiving 50 points. 
* The team is led by second year head coach Nick Sales
* The Fightin' Engineers made it all the way to the HCAC Championship game last season before falling to Anderson University in the HCAC title game. 
* Last season's team compiled a record of 17-11 overall and 12-6 in the HCAC. 
Miles McGowen earned First Team All-HCAC breaking the school record for offensive rebounds (84) and offensive rebounds per game (3.1).
* Rose-Hulman will return to action traveling to face #16 Wabash College on Sunday, 11/26 at 7 PM. 

#8 HAMPDEN-SYDNEY NOTES:
* Hampden-Sydney enter the contest against Rose-Hulman with a record of 3-0 on the year. 
* The team picked up a big win over Widener in the first round of the Wooster Invitational with a final score of 72-63. 
* Adam Brazil and Davidson Hubbard lead the team averaging 13.0 points per game each. 
* Hubbard also leads the team in rebounding with 10.3 per game. 
* The team has picked up some impressive wins defeating Christopher Newport in their season opener with a final of 74-53.
* After facing the Engineers, the team will host Averett on Wednesday, 11/29 at 7 PM.
