Women's Basketball Travels to Bluffton for HCAC Contest

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team travels to Bluffton to take on the Beavers on Saturday at 1 PM in the first game of an HCAC doubleheader.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers come in at 2-4 on the season after taking down Anderson in their HCAC opener on Wednesday night.
* Rose-Hulman dropped a pair of close games to Illinois Wesleyan (79-65) and Depauw (76-70).
* Jamie Baum, a second-team all-HCAC selection in 2022, is leading RoseHulman in scoring with 15.3 points per game. She scored a career-high 25 points in the loss to La Verne earlier this season.
* Senior guard Ashley Black has led the team in scoring in back-to-back games last week with 22 against Caltech and 16 against Illinois Wesleyan.
* CK Gallegos-Rodriguez became just the third Fightin' Engineers to record a double-double in the Midwest Challenge with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
* Manuella Shomba has led the team in scoring with career-highs in back-toback games. She tallied 18 points and 8 rebounds in the loss to DePauw, and she recorded 19 points and 14 rebounds in the win over Anderson.
* The Fightin' Engineers will return to their home court on Saturday, December 9 as they host the Mount St. Joseph Lions at 1 PM.

BLUFFTON NOTES:
* Bluffton comes into the game at 1-3 on the season entering their HCAC opener.
* The Beavers picked up their first win of the season in their last game, a 78-70 victory over Heidelberg.
* Olivia Zender leads the team at 12.8 points per game at 48% shooting from the field.
* Katie Neuhart also averages double-figures with 10.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
* The Beavers have struggled shooting from the outside at just 19% this season.
* Bluffton returns to the court on Wednesday evening as they host the Manchester Spartans.
