Women's Volleyball Faces Hanover in First Round of HCAC Tournament

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman women's volleyball team will travel to take on Hanover College on Wednesday, 11/8 in the first round of the HCAC Tournament. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman enters their HCAC Quarterfinal match against Hanover with a record of 14-13 overall. 
* The team has earned the #6 seed in the HCAC Tournament after finishing 4-5 in the HCAC this season.
* Rose-Hulman punched their ticket to the tournament after defeating Bluffton University on Senior Day last Saturday in straight sets 3-0.
* Lily Ebright currently leads the team and the conference ranking third in all of Division III with 6.56 digs per set.
* Ebright also leads the team and conference ranking third in the nation in total digs with 610.
* Kate Wood leads the team and ranks 12th in the conference with 226 kills so far this season.
* Allie Fults is the Fightin' Engineers star at the net leading the team and ranking second in the conference with 95 total blocks. She leads the conference and the team ranking 11th in the nation with 29 solo blocks this year.
* Jillian Gregg is the standout setter leading Rose-Hulman and ranking third in the HCAC with 614 assists. She also ranks third in the conference with 44 service aces. 
* Sophia Koop ranks sixth in the conference with 40 service aces. 
* With a win, Rose-Hulman will advance to the HCAC Semifinal where they will face Transylvania on Saturday, 11/11 at 5 PM. 

HANOVER NOTES:
* Hanover enters the tournament matchup against Rose-Hulman with a record of 20-7 overall. 
* The Panthers earned the #3 seed in the HCAC Tournament after finishing 7-2 in the HCAC. 
* The team has picked up three straight wins against conference opponents defeating Anderson 3-1, Franklin 3-0, and Rose-Hulman 3-0. 
* The team is led by Abbey McCoy totaling 249 kills this season averaging 2.62 kills per set.
* Megan Vogel is the team's setter leading the way with 403 assists this year.
* Defensively, Casey Dunn has been the standout with 464 digs and 4.78 digs per set this season. 
* Molly Schwarzkopf leads the team and the conference with 106 total blocks this season. 
* With a win, the Panthers will advance to the HCAC Semifinal where they will face Transylvania on Saturday, 11/11 at 5 PM. 

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman trails the overall series against Hanover with an all-time record of 13-22 against the Panthers. 
* Hanover defeated the Fightin' Engineers during the regular season with a final score of 0-3.
* During last year's HCAC Tournament the Engineers bested the Panthers in the opening round with a final of 3-0. 
* That win propelled the Engineers to the HCAC Semifinal match where they fell to Transylvania.
