TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team travels to the University of Chicago to take on the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops in the opening round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. The game will kickoff at 1:30 PM CT or 30 minutes following the first game between #21 Chicago and Illinois Wesleyan.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers enter the 2023 NCAA Tournament at 12-5-3 on the season after winning the HCAC Tournament championship.
* Rose-Hulman handed the Manchester Spartans their first loss of the season with a 1-0 win in the title game thanks to a 34th minute goal from Connor Patton.
* Patton leads the team offensively with nine goals this year which ranks 5th in the HCAC. He also led in the HCAC with five game-winning goals this season and ranked 7th in the conference with 20 points.
Caleb Urban is the Fightin' Engineers all-time career assists leader with 33, and he leads the team and the HCAC with nine assists this season.
* Urban also ranks fifth in the conference, leading the team with 23 points.
Tyler Eldridge is 4th in the HCAC in assists with 6, and Chase Kedzior and Peter Borger are tied for 8th with 4.
* Owen Trudt and Urban are tied for 8th in the HCAC in goals with 7 this season.
John Biederstedt is tied for the HCAC lead with nine clean sheets this season. He also ranks 2nd in goals against average at 0.813.
* The Fightin' Engineers have given up just four goals in their last 12games, and only two of those four goals came against the run of play.
* With a win, the Fightin' Engineers will advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Rose-Hulman has not won an NCAA Tournament game since their improbable run to the Sweet 16 in 2013 with a win over #1 Ohio Wesleyan. The winner of this game will play the winner of #21 Chicago and Illinois Wesleyan on Sunday at 1 PM CT.

OHIO WESLEYAN NOTES:
* Ohio Wesleyan come into the NCAA Tournament at 12-5-1 on the season after a second place finish in the NCAC.
* The Battling Bishops have dropped their last two games to Denison. They fell 2-0 in the regular season finale and 1-0 in the NCAC Tournament.
* Ohio Wesleyan's three other losses came to #10 Calvin, #17 Kenyon, and John Carroll.
* The Battling Bishops are 4-0-1 against common opponents with Rose-Hulman. They picked up wins over Hanover, Ohio Northern, Wabash and DePauw and they drew Hope.
* Rose-Hulman finished 2-2-2 against these common opponents with wins over DePauw and Ohio Northern and draws with Hanover and Wabash.
* Ohio Wesleyan have outscored their opponents 33-17 this season.
* The Battling Bishops are led by sophomore forward Christopher Guerra with 8 goals and 5 assists this season. 
* Junior midfielder Landon Kuhn has added 6 goals and 3 assits for Ohio Wesleyan.
* In goal, senior Mason Taylor has made 60 saves to just 16 goals allowed. He has recorded 6 shutouts and allowed 0.97 goals per game.
