TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team fell to St. Mary of the Woods in the season opener, 68-56.

In the second half, Saint Mary of the Woods took advantage of the Rose-Hulman turnovers with by scoring 33 points in the quarter to take a 27 point lead.

The Rose-Hulman offense came alive in the fourth quarter, and they fed off the energy of their defense by outscoring the Pomeroys 23-8, but it was too little too late for the Fightin' Engineers.

Four Fightin' Engineers led the team in double figures including Jamie Baum (11), Grace Roland (10), Sophia Reese (10), and Manuella Shomba (10).
