TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman men's basketball team hosted St. John Fisher in the first game of the Rose-Hulman Round Robin on Sunday. The team suffered a loss to the Cardinals with a final score of 73-63. This drops the team to 3-6 overall this season.
Rocco Richie led the team with 15 points in the game. Other double figure scorers included
Miles McGowen (14) and
Kobe Stoudemire (12). McGowen led the team on the glass totaling eight rebounds in the contest.
The Engineers trailed the Cardinals 34-30 at the end of the first half. A made three-pointer by Stoudemire tied the game at 39-39 with 17:10 left in the game.
St. John Fisher would put together a 28-7 run to build their largest lead of the night with the score at 67-46 and 7:38 remaining. The Cardinals would hold off the Engineers in the end to claim the win.
Rose-Hulman will return to action in the final game of the Rose-Hulman Round Robin on Tuesday, 12/19 against Millikin University at 7:30 PM.
