CARMEL, Ind.-- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) has released their weekly award winners for the sport of women's basketball.
Grace Roland has earned HCAC Athlete of the Week for her historic performance in the Fightin' Engineers win against Elmhurst.
Roland scored a career-high 32 points and added 10 rebounds in the win over Elmhurst on Saturday. Her 32 points are the most for a Rose-Hulman player since 2006, and she is just the third player to score at least 32 points in a single game.
The freshman mechanical engineering major also finished 9-9 from the charity stripe which is tied for ninth in school history for most free throws made without a miss, and her 10 rebounds helped tally her third double-double of the season.
For the week, the Westmont, Illinois native averaged 21.5 points and 9.5 rebounds.
The Fightin' Engineers will return to action on Friday, December 22 at 7 PM as they travel to Louisville to take on Spalding.
