Men's Basketball Hosts 1st-Place Anderson in Home Finale on Tuesday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team comes into their home finale on a five-game winning streak. The Fightin' Engineers put that on the line on Tuesday night at 7:30 PM as they host first-place Anderson.

ROSE-HULMAN (14-9, 11-5 HCAC) GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman comes in at 7-2 on home on the season and on a five-game winning streak. The Fightin' Engineers have taken down Mount St. Joseph, Earlham, and Defiance at home while beating Bluffton and Manchester on the road.
* Max Chaplin leads the team with 13.9 points per game. He recorded his career high of 26 points in the win over Defiance earlier this season. He has scored in double figures in 10 straight games.
* Miles McGowen also averages double figures with 12.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game with seven double-doubles. He led the team on Saturday with 24 points and 15 rebounds in the win.
Willie BowmanBradley Harden, Kobe Stoudemire have been lights out from three, shooting a combined 95-213 (45%) this season.
* Bowman leads the team in the last three games averaging 19.3 points per game. In the last five games, Bowman has shot it at a 59% clip and 50% from behind the arc. He added a career-high 26 points in the win over Bluffton.
* The Fightin' Engineers had four different players score double figures in the win over Defiance with McGowen (24), Chaplin (16), Bowman (12), and Harden (10).
* Nick Sales is completing his first year at Rose-Hulman. Sales was associate head coach at Marietta for the past nine seasons where he won seven OAC regular season championships, made three NCAA tournaments, and reached the NCAA Division III Final Four in 2022. Sales was 204-45 on staff at Marietta.
* The Fightin' Engineers clinched a spot in this season's HCAC tournament with their win over Manchester on Wednesday.
* Rose-Hulman returns to the road on Friday night at 7:30 PM as the Fightin' Engineers battle Franklin in the season finale.

ANDERSON (15-8, 13-3 HCAC) GAME NOTES:
* Anderson comes in at 15-8 on the season and 13-3 in the HCAC. They currently have a one-game lead over Manchester atop the conference.
* The Ravens had a rough start to the season at just 2-5 in non-conference play, but they have turned it on in HCAC action.
* Anderson took down Transylvania 91-83 on Saturday afternoon.
* Sophomore guard Tate Ivanyo leads the Ravens at 17.9 points per game on 42% shooting from three and adds 6.0 rebounds.
* Camden Brown adds 14.8 points per game for Anderson.
* Anderson will finish the season with a home game against Manchester in a game that could decide home-court advantage for the HCAC tournament.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series 43-29.
* Anderson beat Rose-Hulman 69-55 at Anderson earlier this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers has split with Anderson in each of the last six years of regular season meetings.
* Rose-Hulman won at Anderson 65-42 last year, but fell to the Ravens at home 60-63.
* The series is tied 9-9 since 2014 and with Anderson leading 20-19 since the turn of the century in 2000.
