Men's Basketball Visits Manchester on Wednesday in Big HCAC Contest

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball team takes their three-game winning streak on the road to Manchester on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM. This is an important HCAC contest with both teams in the top four.

ROSE-HULMAN (12-9, 9-5 HCAC) GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman comes in at 5-6 on the road this season. They picked up a 26-point road win on Saturday afternoon at Bluffton.
* Max Chaplin leads the team with 13.8 points per game. He recorded his career high of 26 points in the win over Defiance earlier this season.
* Miles McGowen also averages double figures with 12.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game with seven double-doubles. 
* Willie Bowman, Bradley Harden, Kobe Stoudemire have been lights out from three, shooting a combined 78-174 (45%) this season.
* Bowman led the team last week averaging 17.5 point per game on 79% shooting from the field and 67% shooting from three. He added a career-high 26 points in the win over Bluffton.
* Harden and McGowen added double figures on Saturday with 17 and 14 points.
* Four different Fightin' Engineers tallied career-highs in points in the win over Bluffton with Bowman (26), Harden (17), Eddie Simon Jr. (9), and Ben Olenick (3).
* Nick Sales is completing his first year at Rose-Hulman. Sales was associate head coach at Marietta for the past nine seasons where he won seven OAC regular season championships, made three NCAA tournaments, and reached the NCAA Division III Final Four in 2022. Sales was 204-45 on staff at Marietta.
* Rose-Hulman returns to home on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM as they host Defiance on Senior Day. The Fightin' Engineers will honor their five seniors prior to that game.

MANCHESTER (13-8, 11-3 HCAC) GAME NOTES:
* Manchester comes in at 13-8 on the season and 11-3 in the HCAC.
* The Spartans started the year 0-4, but they have won 13 of 17 since starting HCAC play at the end of November.
* Manchester has won seven consecutive games since falling to Rose-Hulman back in January.
* The Spartans beat Mount St. Joseph on Saturday by a score of 69-50.
* Manchester has three different players scoring over 16 points per game with Bryant Smith (17.6), Logan Willoughby (16.8), and Zach Sawyer (16.1). 
* Ty Lynas and Quentez Columbus each score over 12 points per game as well.
* Manchester has their third of four straight home games on Saturday as they host Hanover at 2:00 PM.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series 36-27
* The Fightin' Engineers won at home 82-79 earlier in January.
* The Fightin' Engineers split with the Spartans last season with a 71-60 win at home 
* Rose-Hulman has won five of the last six games and 10 of the last 12 games against Manchester
* The Spartans are just 3-8 at home against the Fightin' Engineers going back to the 2011-2012 season.
* Rose-Hulman has won 20 of the last 24 over the Spartans going back to the 2011-2012 season.
