Men's Tennis Battles MSOE in Chicago on Sunday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis season continues their 2023 spring season with a neutral site match against the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sunday. The match will take place at the XS Tennis and Education Foundation in Chicago at 2:00 PM CT.

ROSE-HULMAN MEN'S TENNIS NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman comes into the match at 4-4 on the season with wins over a trio of MIAA teams including Albion, Adrian, and Calvin.
* The Fightin' Engineers fell to Greenville 2-7 on Saturday. Corey Pollard and Owen Reynolds picked up the two wins for Rose-Hulman.
* Grant Paradowski and Rhian Seneviratne lead the team with seven wins at #2 and #3 singles.
* Reynolds, Renato Prado, and Andrew Leonard join Seneviratne to lead the team in doubles wins with six.
* Rose-Hulman enters the season with 7 consecutive HCAC Tournament championships dating to 2015.
* The Fightin' Engineers have appeared in 7 straight NCAA Division III men's tennis tournaments entering the 2023 season.
* Rose-Hulman enters the season with a 57-1 record in its last 58 matches against HCAC competition.
* The Fightin' Engineers return 2 all-HCAC players (Reynolds and Paradowski) from the 2022 season.  The returnees also include Seneviratne, an honorable mention all-HCAC selection.
* Rose-Hulman enters the season under the direction of first-year head coach Greg Couch.  Couch comes to Rose-Hulman with 5 seasons of college head coaching experience at NAIA Roosevelt University in Chicago.

MILWAUKEE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING NOTES:
* MSOE comes into the match at 3-7 on the season, but the Raiders are just 1-5 in the spring season.
* The Raiders have picked up wins over Lawrence, Lake Forest, and St. Ambrose.
* Three weeks ago, MSOE fell to Calvin 3-6. The Raiders picked up wins at #1 singles, #3 singles, and #5 singles. (Rose-Hulman beat Calvin 6-3 with wins at #1 and #3 doubles as well as #1-4 singles.
* Daniel Lukasek leads the Raiders at #1 Singles at 8-1. His lone loss came to Judson to start the year.
* The Raiders were picked to finish third in the NACC Preseason Poll behind Illinois Tech and Concordia Wisconsin.
* MSOE plays at Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday prior to playing the Fightin' Engineers on Sunday. After the match, the Raiders will head to Racine, Wisconsin for two matches against Edgewood and Marian (WI).

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series 2-0.
* The Fightin' Engineers won in both 2017 and 2022.
* Last year, Rose-Hulman picked up two doubles wins and four singles wins to take a 6-3 victory.
* Paradowski, Austin Perry, Pollard, Reynolds, and Seneviratne all picked up wins in the match last year.
