TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology falls to Greenville 2-7 in their first home match of the 2023 season.
Greenville went out to an early 3-0 lead in doubles with wins of 8-0, 8-4, and 8-3.
In singles,
Owen Reynolds picked up the lone win for the Fightin' Engineers at #1 singles, 6-4, 6-2.
Corey Pollard picked up the second point for Rose-Hulman at #6 singles with a 8-5 win in an 8-game set.
Grant Paradowski and
Renato Prado both lost in three-set battles at #2 and #4 singles. Paradowski fell 6-3, 3-6, 12-14, and Prado fell 4-6, 6-2, 8-10 in the tiebreak.
Rose-Hulman moves to 4-4 on the season, while Greenville improves to 7-4. The Fightin' Engineers return to the court next Sunday, March 12 with a neutral site match in Chicago, Illinois against the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
