LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team drops both games of their final doubleheader to #23 Transylvania with a 5-2 loss in game one and a 6-0 loss in game two.
The Pioneers got their bats going early with two runs in the first and three runs in the second for a quick 5-0 lead.
The Fightin' Engineers got one back in the third to get on the board thanks to a sacrifice fly from
Nicole Lang.
Ashley Pinkham then singled home another run for their second run of the game, but they would fall 5-2.
Phoebe Worstell pitched very well in the final four innings, allowing no runs on just one hit and three walks.
In the second game, Rose-Hulman struggled to get their bats going once again with just four hits from
MaKenzie Morgan,
Lexi Fortuna, Pinkham, and Worstell.
The Fightin' Engineers would fall in the second game 6-0.
Rose-Hulman finishes the season 7-24. We wish the best to our four seniors
Lexi Fortuna,
Nicole Lang,
MaKenzie Morgan, and
Ashley Pinkham.
