TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team hosts the Millikin Big Blue on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM in the second game of a men's and women's doubleheader.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman comes into the match with a record at 2-3-1 on the season. It is just the 2nd time since 2012 that the men's soccer team opener their season with 3 losses in their first 6 games.
* The Fightin' Engineers finished 1-1 last week with a 2-0 win over DePauw and a 1-0 loss to Hope.
Caleb Urban became the all-time career assists leader with a pair of assists in the win over DePauw. Urban has assisted on the last four goals for the Fightin' Engineers.
Urban and Connor Patton lead the team in goals this season with two each.
John Biederstedt picked up his first clean sheet of the year on Wednesday in the win over DePauw.
* Rose-Hulman was picked to win its fifth consecutive HCAC championship this fall in the preseason coaches poll.
* The Fightin' Engineers have an unprecedented 32 game unbeaten streak in the HCAC regular season dating back to 2019. They are 30-0-2 in that span.
* Rose-Hulman returns to the field on Saturday afternoon as they host the Ohio Northern Polar Bears in their final non-conference game of the season.

MILLIKIN NOTES:
* Millikin comes into this mid-week matchup at 4-1-1 on the season.
* The Big Blue dropped their first game of the season, but they are unbeaten in their last five.
* Millikin beat DePauw 4-3 and beat Wash U 2-1. The Fightin' Engineers beat DePauw 2-0 and fell to Wash U 3-1.
* Junior Nacho Diaz is the leader for the Big Blue offense. Diaz has scored four goals and tallied three assists to lead Millikin in both categories.
* Their duo of Alvin Bramhagen and Johannes Smaaberg have each scored four goals this season as well for the high-powered Millikin attack.
* In goal, Oliwier Holowinski has made 23 saves and allowed 11 goals in 6 games.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series with Millikin 18-6-4.
* The Fightin' Engineers are unbeaten in their last five meetings with the Big Blue. They are 4-0-1 in that span.
* The last Millikin win in the series came back in 2016.
* Millikin has not beaten Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute since 1999. The Fightin' Engineers are 9-0-2 at home in the 21st century.
* The first recorded meeting between these two teams came back in 1986, a 1-0 win for Millikin.
* The Big Blue will return to action this weekend as they take on Carroll to open CCIW competition.
