TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology football team returns to Cook Stadium for the first time since September 2 as they host the Anderson Ravens at 2 PM on Saturday. The game will be the 2023 Homecoming game for the Fightin' Engineers.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman enters this week at 1-2 on the season with a win over Trine 30-28 and losses to DePauw and Albion.
* This week is Homecoming for the Fightin' Engineers. Rose-Hulman is 8-1 in their last nine Homecoming football games with their lone loss since 2013 coming in 2019, a 29-28 loss to Franklin on a walk-off 2-point conversion with 38 seconds to go.

Jailen Hobbs is the reigning 2-time HCAC Special Teams Player of the Year after leading the league in kickoff return and punt return average last season.
* Hobbs is coming off an All-American season in 2022 as he became the first two-sport All-American in school history in track and football. He was the first HCAC Athlete of the Year in school history in 2022-23.
* Hobbs was named the HCAC Offensive Player of the Week and earned D3football.com Team of the Week honors after putting up 14 catches, 205 yards, and 3 touchdowns in the win over Trine.

Andrew Toler also earned preseason All-American honors from The CFB Network. He was a 1st-Team all-HCAC punter in 2022.
* Toler has been named the HCAC Special Teams Player of the Week following each of their last two games.

Daniel Huery earned preseason All-American recognition from D3football.com. He was a 2nd-Team All-Region honoree and a 1st-Team all-HCAC honoree in 2022.
* Four players on the stout Rose-Hulman defense have come up with interceptions this season. Rose-Hulman has forced five turnovers in their first three games of the season.

Riley Lopian leads the Fightin' Engineers defense up front as he has recorded 17 tackles and 3 tackles for a loss.

Marshall Koch leads the team with 22 tackles on the season.

Jeff Sokol is serving in his 13th year at Rose-Hulman with a career record of 78-42 and the top winning percentage in program history at .650. Sokol has led Rose-Hulman to three HCAC titles and NCAA Playoff appearances in 2016 and 2021.
* Rose-Hulman will return to the gridiron on Saturday, October 7 as the Fightin' Engineers travel to North Manchester, Indiana to take on the Manchester Spartans.
ANDERSON NOTES:
* Anderson comes into this weekend at 0-3 on the season.
* The Ravens have played two common opponents with Rose-Hulman as they fell to Trine 61-0 and fell to DePauw 68-19. They also fell to #21 Alma 60-14.
* Anderson has had four different players attempt at least 10 passes through their first three games. Freshman Aidan Meek leads the team with 238 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.
* Johnell Wortham has rushed for a team-high 107 yards and one touchdown including a 75-yard touchdown run against DePauw.
* Julian Holguin leads the team with 17 receptions and 143 receiving yards this season.
* Freshman Lucas Kleeman leads the defensive attack with 17 tackles and 2 tackles for a loss.
* First year head coach Jonathan Coddington is still looking for his first-career win.
* Anderson will return to their home field next week as they host the Franklin College Grizzlies at 1:30 PM for their homecoming game.
SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series with Anderson 20-6.
* The Fightin' Engineers took down the Ravens 45-7 last year.
* Rose-Hulman is currently on a 13-game win streak dating back to 2009.
* The last Anderson win in the series came 35-31 in 2008.
* This will be the first time that the Fightin' Engineers have hosted Anderson for their Homecoming game since 2016, a 44-10 win for the Fightin' Engineers.
