TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team continues the 2023 season in Greencastle for their second tournament of the season. The Fightin' Engineers will join the NCAC as a part of the MIAA-NCAC Challenge with a pair of games on Friday and the final game on Saturday.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman comes into the weekend at 1-3 after playing in the Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational last weekend.
* The Fightin' Engineers beat Lakeland for their first win of the season.
* Lily Ebright picked up where she left off in 2022 by winning the HCAC Defensive Player of the Week award for the fifth time in the last nine weekend dating back to last year. The defending HCAC Defensive Player of the Year recorded 91 digs and 5.69 digs per set.
* Allie Fults helped lead the defense with 15 blocks and 0.94 blocks per set.
* Kate Wood and Jillian Gregg led the offensive attack with 42 kills for Wood and 128 assists for Gregg.
* The Fightin' Engineers will return to action next weekend with the Augustana Invitational in Rock Island, Illinois.

OPPONENT NOTES:
* Trine comes into the weekend at 0-4 after a tough weekend at the Great Lakes Crossover in Sandusky, Ohio.
* The Thunder fell to Case Western, Suffolk, Bethany (WV), and Allegheny.
* Adrian comes into the weekend at 1-3 at the Puget Sound Premiere in Seattle, Washington.
* The Bulldogs beat Pacific Lutheran, but they fell to Eastern, Puget Sound, and St. Benedict.
* Kalamazoo finished 2-2 in their season opening tournament in Terre Haute at St. Mary-of-the-Woods.
* The Hornets won a pair of matches over Alice Lloyd and Brescia, but they fell to Midway and the hosts, SMWC.
* Adrian, Trine, and Kalamazoo were picked to finish 4th, 5th, and 6th in the MIAA Preseason Poll.

SERIES NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman and Trine are tied 3-3 in the all-time series.
* The Fightin' Engineers have won three straight matches including a 3-0 win in 2022.
* Adrian leads the all-time series 3-2 over Rose-Hulman.
* The Bulldogs won the last meeting with Rose-Hulman in a five-set match in 2016.
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series over Kalamazoo 4-3.
* Kalamazoo won the last meeting back in 2014 in the Manchester Invitational.
