TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team hits the road to Naperville, Illinois to play #20 North Central (IL) on Sunday at 2 PM CT.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman comes in at 1-1-1 on the season.
* The Fightin' Engineers opened the season with a 2-1 win over Greenville, a 3-1 loss to Wash U, and a 2-2 draw against Wabash on Wednesday.
* Caleb Urban leads the team with 2 goals and 2 assists. His two assists in the draw to Wabash tied the career assists record for Rose-Hulman with 26.
* Matthew Schwartz scored the game-winning goal in the Greenville game off of an assist from Kai Moore.
* Owen Trudt and Connor Patton each scored a goal in the draw with Wabash.
* Rose-Hulman was picked to win their fifth consecutive HCAC championship this fall in the preseason coaches poll.
* The Fightin' Engineers have an unprecedented 32 game unbeaten streak in the HCAC regular season dating back to 2019. They are 30-0-2 in that span.
* Rose-Hulman returns four all-HCAC honorees from last year's championship team including a pair of 1st teamers with Jacob Pohl and Urban, the 2022 HCAC Midfielder of the Year.
* Sean Helliwell is the defending HCAC Coach of the Year. He won the award for the 10th time in his 15 year career. Helliwell is easily the winningest coach in program history with a career record of 187-69-40, and an HCAC record of 111-9-13.
* The Fightin' Engineers will return to the pitch on Sunday afternoon as they travel to Naperville, Illinois to take on #20 North Central at 2 PM CT.

NORTH CENTRAL NOTES:
* North Central comes in at 3-0 on the season and ranked #20 in the country in the preseason coaches poll. North Central plays the Trine Thunder on Friday night before playing Rose-Hulman on Sunday.
* The Cardinals finished 2022 at 17-1-4 and the #20 team in the country.
* North Central's draws came against Concordia Wisconsin, Rose-Hulman, Aurora, and #5 North Park, and their lone loss came to St. Olaf in double overtime in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
* The Cardinals are 21-1-2 at home in the last two years with the lone loss coming in the NCAA Tournament to St. Olaf.
* North Central has outshot their opponents 46-20 in three games this year and has outscored their opponents 11-2.
* Matteo Innocenti leads the team with three goals and seven total points this season.
* Aidan Westerberg and Edoardo Bonifacio have each added two goals for the Cardinals this season.
* Riley Johnson has allowed just two goals in three games this year with five total saves.
* North Central returns to their home field next Friday as they host the #13 Ohio Northern Polar Bears in a battle of top-20 teams.

* North Central leads the all-time series 4-3-1 over Rose-Hulman
* The two teams tied in last year's rain-shortened meeting in Terre Haute thanks to a goal from AJ Yilmaz and assist from Caleb Urban.
* Since 1999, Rose-Hulman in 2-1-1 against the Cardinals with wins in 2017 and 2019.
* North Central's last win came in 2021, 2-0 in Naperville.
