TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team will host #2 Transylvania on Saturday at 1 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman comes in at 7-7 on the season and 4-3 in the HCAC.
* The Fightin' Engineers have won their last two games against conference opponents defeating Defiance 66-37 and Earlham 63-50. 
* Rose-Hulman beat Anderson 83-72 and Bluffton 62-55 in their first two HCAC games of the season. It was their first 2-0 start in the HCAC since 2017.
* Grace Roland leads the team with 12.6 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game this season. 
* Roland has scored in double figures in ten of fourteen games this season.
* Roland became the third player in school history to score 32 points in a game in the win over Elmhurst, and she earned her first career HCAC Athlete of the Week honors for her performance.
* Rose-Hulman has three other players averaging double figures this season including Jamie Baum (12.1), Manuella Shomba (11.4), and Ashley Black (10.3). 
CK Gallegos-Rodriguez made history in Saturday's win against Defiance as she became the first player in school history to record 5 assists, 5 steals, and 5 blocks in a single game. Gallegos-Rodriguez finished with 9 points, 10 rebounds, 6 steals, 5 assists, and 5 blocks.
* The Fightin' Engineers will return to action hosting Manchester University on Wednesday, 1/17 at 7:30 PM

TRANSYLVANIA NOTES: 
* Transylvania leads the HCAC with an undefeated record of 14-0 overall and 7-0 in the HCAC this season.
* The team is the defending NCAA Division III National Champions after winning the title during the 2022-23 season.
* The Pioneers picked up a win in their last match up against Hanover College with a final score of 54-39.
* The team is led by Dasia Thornton averaging 15.9 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game this season.
* Kennedi Stacy is also averaging double figures with 11.1 points per game. 
* Transylvania will continue HCAC play traveling to face Mount St. Joseph University on Wednesday, 1/17 at 7 PM.
