Men's Track and Field Comes Back for Narrow Win at FNS #2

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's track and field team brought home a first-place finish at the second edition of the Friday Night Spikes series.

The Fightin' Engineers brought home six total event wins in the meet.

Jailen Hobbs led the team with a pair of first-place finishes in the 60m dash and the 200m dash. His 60m dash time of 6.80 is tied for the fastest time in NCAA Division III at this point in the season, and his 200m dash time of 22.30 ranks as the 26th fastest time in NCAA Division III.

Tim Youndt also won a pair of events in the 60m hurdles and the Triple Jump. He set a personal best in his first-place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.49 which ranks as the 6th fastest in school history, and he won the Triple in his opening jump with a mark of 46' 8.25".

Raymond Bates won the 400m dash with a time of 51.76, and Kyle Brownell won the High Jump with a mark of 6' 4".

The Fightin' Engineers will return to action on Friday, January 26 as they host their third meet of the Friday Night Spikes series at the Rose-Hulman SRC Fieldhouse.
