Men's Track & Field Ranked 14th in Division III; Best in Program History

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's track and field team received their highest ranking in program history in Tuesday afternoon's rankings release by the USTFCCCA.

The Fightin' Engineers are ranked #14 in the country, beating their previous best ranking of 16th in 2011. It is also only the third time in program history that the team was ranked in the top-20 in the nation with the previous two coming in 2011 and 2012.

Senior Jailen Hobbs paces the Fightin' Engineers in the sprints, ranked in the top-25 in a pair of events. His 60m dash time of 6.80 ranks 2nd in NCAA Division III and 1st in the Great Lakes Region. His 200m dash time of 21.92 is ranked 22nd in NCAA Division III and 4th in the Great Lakes Region.

Fellow senior Kyle Brownell, a 2022 National Qualifier, is ranked 4th in NCAA Division III in the High Jump with a mark of 6' 7.75".

Closing out the senior trio is Tim Youndt, a 2023 National Qualifier, who is ranked 7th in NCAA Division III and 1st in the Great Lakes Region in the Triple Jump with a mark of 47' 4.5".

The Rose-Hulman track and field teams will return to their home track on Friday, January 26 at 6 PM for the third installment of the Friday Night Spikes meet.
