Women's Soccer Returns to Action Hosting Earlham Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team returns home to host Earlham College in HCAC action on Saturday, October 19 at 1 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers enter the weekend in a tie for first in the HCAC with a record of 5-6-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the conference. 
* The team has won their last three matches defeating Hanover 1-0, Berea 3-1, and Franklin 5-0.
Kyra Hicks is the team's leader in points with nine on four goals and one assists so far this season.
Camille Clark and Sydnee Schuler have also scored multiple goals with Schuler totaling four goals and Clark recording two goals.
Lily Doré has been the keeper for the Fightin' Engineers all season long totaling 34 saves with a goals-against average of 1.54 and a save percentage of 65.4%.
* Rose-Hulman has been selected to finish third in this year's HCAC preseason poll receiving 64 points and one first-place vote. 
* The team finished fourth overall in the HCAC last season compiling a record of 8-4-5 overall and 5-2-1 in the HCAC. 
* The Fightin' Engineers fell short in the semifinal round of the HCAC Tournament against Hanover College with a final score of 2-0. 
* The squad returns four all-conference players including Lily DoréKyra HicksLauren Marquardt, and Kiana Martin
* The four all-conference returners along with Jayden Gibson have been named as players to watch for the upcoming season by the HCAC. 
* After hosting Earlham, the team will continue conference play hosting Anderson on Wednesday, October 23 at 7 PM. 

EARLHAM NOTES:
* Earlham enters the weekend with a record of 2-5-4 overall and 1-2-2 in the HCAC.
* The team has had back-to-back scoreless draws in their past two matches against Transylvania and Mount St. Joseph.
* Mallory Smith leads the team with four goals and nine points. 
* Isabel Slone is the team's leader in assists with three totaling five points on the season. 
* Makayla Hurey has been the keeper all season for Earlham with 90 saves, a 1.09 goals-against average, and an 88.2 save percentage.
* The Quakers have been selected to finish seventh in the HCAC preseason poll totaling 32 points. 
* After facing the Fightin' Engineers, the Quakers will travel to face Berea College on Wednesday, October 23 at 6 PM. 

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 15-8 against the Quakers. 
* Rose-Hulman has won the last 12 matches against Earlham dating back to the 2012 season.
* The Fightin' Engineers defeated Earlham last season with a final score of 2-0. 
* Rose-Hulman has a record of 9-2 when hosting Earlham.
