Men's Soccer Looks to Continue HCAC Rampage on Wednesday at Anderson

GAME NOTES

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team will look to remain undefeated in conference play traveling to face Anderson on Wednesday, October 23 at 3:30 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers enter the match leading the HCAC with a record of 7-4-3 overall and 4-1-1 in the conference.
* The team has won their last three matches against conference opponents defeating Earlham 2-0, Berea 3-0, and Franklin 2-0.
* John Biederstedt has been the star keeper for Rose-Hulman leading the conference in goals-against average (0.917), save percentage (82.3%), and shutouts (5) so far this season.
Cameron Hannah has been the standout for the Fightin' Engineers totaling 12 points on five goals and two assists. 
* Hannah leads the conference with three game-winning goals. 
Julius Salinas leads the team in assists with four so far this season ranking third in the conference.
* Head Coach Sean Helliwell earned his 200th career victory at the helm of the Fightin' Engineers men's soccer program in the match against Bluffton earlier this year. 
* Rose-Hulman has been selected to win the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in the league's preseason poll receiving 79 points and 7 first-place votes.
* The Fightin' Engineers finished last season with a record of 12-5-3 overall and 6-2-1 in the HCAC to claim the #3 seed in the postseason tournament. 
* The team went on to win the HCAC Tournament taking out the top two teams in the league to advance to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament. 
* Rose-Hulman suffered a close loss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Ohio Wesleyan with a final score of 2-0.
* The squad returns four all-conference players from last year's team including Peter BorgerJohn BiederstedtElijah Hardersen, and Chase Kedzior
* Along with the returning all-conference players, Julius SalinasJacob Pohl, and Tyler Eldridge have been named players to watch by the HCAC. 
* After facing Anderson, Rose-Hulman will return home for Senior Day hosting Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, October 26 at 3:30 PM.

ANDERSON NOTES: 
* Anderson currently ranks fifth in the HCAC with a record of 5-6-3 overall and 2-2-2 in the conference. 
* The team comes off back-to-back draws against Manchester 0-0 and Bluffton 1-1. 
* Emmett Kindler leads the team with four goals this season and nine points. 
* Dalton Grubbs also has nine points on the season with one goal and a team-high seven assists.
* Braydon Kennedy is the Ravens keeper totaling 45 saves and a save percentage of 75%.
* Anderson was selected to finish fifth in the HCAC preseason poll receiving 49 points. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Anderson will travel to take on Franklin College on Saturday, October 26 at 6 PM.

* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 26-10-1 against the Ravens. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have won the last 11 match ups with Anderson dating back to the 2013 season. 
* Rose-Hulman earned the win last season with a final score of 1-0.
* The last time Anderson defeated the Fightin' Engineers was during the 2012 season with a final score of 1-0.
