Women's Soccer Puts Win Streak on the Line against Anderson

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team will continue HCAC play hosting Anderson University on Wednesday, October 23 at 7 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers sit atop the HCAC in a tie for first with Mount St. Joseph with a record of 6-6-1 overall and 5-0-1 in the conference. 
* The team has won their last four matches defeating Earlham 3-0, Franklin 5-0, Berea 3-1, and Hanover 1-0. 
Kyra Hicks is the team's leader in points with 13 on six goals and one assists so far this season.
Camille Clark and Sydnee Schuler have also scored multiple goals with Schuler totaling four goals and Clark recording two goals.
Lily Doré has been the keeper for the Fightin' Engineers all season long totaling 36 saves with a goals-against average of 1.46 and a save percentage of 66.7%.
* Rose-Hulman has been selected to finish third in this year's HCAC preseason poll receiving 64 points and one first-place vote. 
* The team finished fourth overall in the HCAC last season compiling a record of 8-4-5 overall and 5-2-1 in the HCAC. 
* The Fightin' Engineers fell short in the semifinal round of the HCAC Tournament against Hanover College with a final score of 2-0. 
* The squad returns four all-conference players including Lily DoréKyra HicksLauren Marquardt, and Kiana Martin
* The four all-conference returners along with Jayden Gibson have been named as players to watch for the upcoming season by the HCAC. 
* After hosting Anderson, Rose-Hulman will return home on Saturday, October 26 for Senior Day hosting Mount St. Joseph University at 1 PM. 

ANDERSON NOTES:
* The Ravens currently rank tied for fifth in the HCAC standings with a record of 6-6-2 overall and 3-3 in the conference. 
* Anderson comes off back-to-back wins over Bluffton 5-1 and Manchester 3-0. 
* Emily Wilusz leads the team with six goals and 12 points so far this season.
* Lauren Brown has also been a productive weapon for Anderson with four goals, three assists, and 11 points. 
* Adrienne Weyers is the star keeper for Anderson with 68 saves and a save percentage of 78.2%.
* Anderson has been picked to finish fifth in the HCAC preseason poll receiving 49 points. 
* After traveling to face Rose-Hulman, the Ravens will travel to take on Franklin College on Friday, October 25 at 7 PM. 

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 22-1-3 against the Ravens. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have won the last seven matches against Anderson dating back to the 2019 season.
* Rose-Hulman earned the win last season during the regular season 1-0 and defeated Anderson in the first round of the HCAC Tournament 2-1.
* The last time Anderson defeated Rose-Hulman was during the 2018 season with a final score of 1-0.
* The Fightin' Engineers have a record of 12-1-2 overall when hosting Anderson.
