TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team will wrap up the 2024 regular season hosting Manchester University on Tuesday, October 29 at 7 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers clinched the #1 seed in the HCAC Tournament and their 11th HCAC Regular Season Championship.
* This earns the team the first-round bye in the postseason tournament.
* Rose-Hulman solidified their spot with a win over MSJ on Senior Day with a final score of 7-0.
* The team has won their last five matches against conference opponents defeating MSJ 7-0, Anderson 2-1, Earlham 2-0, Franklin 2-0, and Berea 3-0.

John Biederstedt has been the standout in goal for the Fightin' Engineers leading the conference with a .889 goals-against average, 81.5 save percentage, five shutouts, and a league-low 12 goals against.

Ryan Shapiro and
Cameron Hannah have been the dynamic duo for the Fightin' Engineers offensively leading the team with 16 points each.
* Shapiro totals six goals and four assists leading the team with 16 shots on goal.
* Hannah leads Rose-Hulman with seven goals this season and totals two assists while leading the conference with four game-winning goals.

Julius Salinas is the team's assist leader with five assists on the year.

Sean Helliwell earned his 200th career victory at the helm of the Fightin' Engineers men's soccer program in the match against Bluffton earlier this year.
* The Fightin' Engineers finished last season with a record of 12-5-3 overall and 6-2-1 in the HCAC to claim the #3 seed in the postseason tournament.
* The team went on to win the HCAC Tournament taking out the top two teams in the league to advance to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament.
* Rose-Hulman suffered a close loss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Ohio Wesleyan with a final score of 2-0.
* After their regular season finale against Manchester, Rose-Hulman will look ahead to the HCAC Tournament Semifinal on Tuesday, November 5 at 7 PM where they will face the winner of the #4 and #5 seeded match.
MANCHESTER NOTES:
* The Spartans enter the final game of the regular season with a record of 4-6-5 overall and 1-3-4 in the HCAC.
* The team is currently on the bubble in a battle for the sixth seed in the HCAC Tournament.
* Manchester comes off a loss to Berea College on Saturday with a final score of 3-0.
* Kole Williams leads the team with 16 points on seven goals and two assists.
* Andy Ignatovich is a team's assist leader with four totaling 10 points on the season with three goals.
* Aaron Ketchmark has been the keeper for the Spartans this season totaling 76 saves, a 1.47 goals-against average, and a 78.4% save percentage.
* The Spartans have been selected to finish fourth in the preseason poll receiving 54 points.
