Women's Soccer Travels to Manchester for Regular Season Finale Wednesday

GAME NOTES

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team travels to Manchester to wrap up the 2024 regular season on Wednesday, October 30 at 7:30 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers enter their regular-season finale with a record of 7-7-1 overall and 6-1-1 in the HCAC. 
* The team is currently ranked third in the HCAC in a fight for the #2 seed in the HCAC Tournament with Transylvania.
* Rose-Hulman comes off a loss to Mount St. Joseph on Senior Day with a final score of 1-0 that knocked them out of the running for the #1 seed in the HCAC Tournament.
* The Fightin' Engineers will need to win against Manchester and rely on Mount St. Joseph to win or draw against Transylvania to earn the #2 seed and the first-round bye in the tournament.
Kyra Hicks is the team's leader in points with 14 on six goals and two assists so far this season.
Camille ClarkSydnee Schuler, and Katie Choi have also scored multiple goals with Schuler totaling four and Clark and Choi tallying two.
Lily Doré has been the keeper for the Fightin' Engineers all season long totaling 40 saves with a goals-against average of 1.39 and a save percentage of 66.7%.
* The team finished fourth overall in the HCAC last season compiling a record of 8-4-5 overall and 5-2-1 in the HCAC. 
* The Fightin' Engineers fell short in the semifinal round of the HCAC Tournament against Hanover College with a final score of 2-0. 
* After facing Manchester, Rose-Hulman will compete in the HCAC Tournament. The team will await the results of the Mount St. Joseph and Transylvania match to decide if they will receive the #2 seed with the first-round bye, or the #3 seed forcing them to play in the first round of the HCAC Tournament on Saturday, November 2 at 7 PM. 

MANCHESTER NOTES:
* Manchester enters the regular season finale with a record of 0-13-3 overall and 0-7-1 in the HCAC. 
* The team comes off a draw against Berea College with a final score of 1-1.
* Abigail Kohler leads the team with two goals scored this season.
* Lily DeTray and Grace Papazoglou have also reached the net with one goal each this year.
* Papazoglou is also the team's assist leader with two on the year.
* Claire German is the leading keeper for the Spartans with 97 saves, a goals-against average of 3.19, and a save percentage of 73.5%. 
* The Spartans have been eliminated from the HCAC Tournament and will end their season with the match against Rose-Hulman on Wednesday.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 19-5-1 overall against the Spartans. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have won the last seven matches against Manchester dating back to the 2017 season.
* The last time Manchester defeated Rose-Hulman was during the 2016 season with a final score of 2-1. 
* Rose-Hulman has earned shutout wins in the past five matches against the Spartans.
