TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team will return to HCAC play hosting Transylvania on Saturday for Homecoming at 3:30 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers enter their match against the Pioneers with a record of 3-4-2 overall and 1-0 in the HCAC.
* The team comes off a victory over cross-town rival St. Mary-of-the-Woods on Tuesday with a final score of 1-0.
* The Fightin' Engineers picked up an exciting win over Bluffton in their first HCAC match of the season with a final of 3-2.
*
Cameron Hannah earned HCAC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week after leading the comeback against the Beavers scoring two goals in the final two minutes of the match.
* The win over the Beavers gives Head Coach
Sean Helliwell his 200th victory in his career at the helm of the Fightin' Engineers men's soccer program.

Tyler Eldridge,
Cameron Hannah, and
Eli Miller lead the team with two goals scored this season.
* Hannah leads the team with five points adding one assist to his two goals on the year.
*
John Biederstedt has been in goal for the Fightin' Engineers totaling 36 saves with a 1.29 goals-against average and 80% save percentage.
*
Michael Trinh has also seen time in goal for Rose-Hulman with 5 saves, a 1.00 goals-against average, and a 71.4% save percentage.
* Rose-Hulman has been selected to win the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in the league's preseason poll receiving 79 points and 7 first-place votes.
* The Fightin' Engineers finished last season with a record of 12-5-3 overall and 6-2-1 in the HCAC to claim the #3 seed in the postseason tournament.
* The team went on to win the HCAC Tournament taking out the top two teams in the league to advance to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament.
* Rose-Hulman suffered a close loss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Ohio Wesleyan with a final score of 2-0.
* The squad returns four all-conference players from last year's team including
Peter Borger,
John Biederstedt,
Elijah Hardersen, and
Chase Kedzior.
* Along with the returning all-conference players,
Julius Salinas,
Jacob Pohl, and
Tyler Eldridge have been named players to watch by the HCAC.
* After hosting Transylvania, Rose-Hulman will travel to take on Hanover College in HCAC action on Wednesday, October 9 at 3:30 PM.
TRANSYLVANIA NOTES:
* Transylvania enters the weekend with a record of 4-3-1 overall and 1-0 in the HCAC this season.
* The team comes off a conference win over Berea with a final score of 5-2.
* Gus Dickman leads the team with four goals scored and eight points this season.
* Dylan Barnes has also been a weapon offensively leading the team with three assists.
* Jackson Holt leads the team in the net with 28 saves, a goals-against average of 2.00, and a 73.7% save percentage.
* The Pioneers have been picked to finish third in the HCAC Preseason Poll receiving 62 points and one first-place vote.
* After facing the Fightin' Engineers, the Pioneers will travel to continue conference play facing Franklin on Wednesday, October 9 at 7 PM.

* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 12-7-8 overall against the Pioneers.
* Last year's match between both teams ended in a scoreless draw 0-0.
* Before that, Rose-Human had won the last six matches against Transylvania dating back to the 2019 season.
