Women's Basketball Travels to Face Millikin Monday Night

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Fightin' Engineers women's basketball team will return to action traveling to face Millikin on Monday, November 11 at 7 PM CT. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 0-1 overall this season after falling to crosstown rival St. Mary-of-the-Woods in their season opener 71-65. 
* Jamie Baum led the team with 25 points in the season opener shooting a perfect 4-4 from beyond the arc. 
* Julia Meyer and Emma Schipp also reached double figures in their first game as Fightin' Engineers with 13 and 12 points. 
* Schipp led Rose-Hulman on the boards with eight rebounds. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish sixth in the HCAC preseason poll receiving 46 points. 
* The team finished last season with a record of 12-14 overall and 9-9 in the HCAC. 
* Rose-Hulman advanced to the HCAC Tournament and fell to Franklin in the first round with a final score of 73-69. 
Jamie Baum earned 1st-Team all-HCAC honors and Grace Roland was named the HCAC Newcomer of the Year last season.
* Both Baum and Roland along with CK Gallegos RodriguezAnaya Hawkins, and Sophia Reese have been named Players to Watch by the HCAC for the upcoming season.
* The team adds seven new faces to the team this year including Reagan LorenzenJulia MeyerEmma SchippMadi D'EliaSierra SnowdenKatelyn Fennell, and Anaya Hawkins.
* After taking on the Big Blue, Rose-Hulman will return home to host Principia on Thursday, November 14 at 7 PM. 

MILLIKIN NOTES:
* Millikin will host Rose-Hulman for their season opener on Monday. 
* The Big Blue finished last season with a record of 23-6 overall and 13-3 in the CCIW.
* Millikin suffered a loss to Carroll in the CCIW Semifinal with a final score of 75-66.  
* The team earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament picking up a win in the first round against Willamette with a final score of 91-83. 
* The team fell short in the second round to Wisconsin-Whitewater with a final score of 89-65. 
* Millikin has been picked to finish tied for third place in the CCIW this season in the preseason poll. 
* Matayia Tellis is the team's top returner averaging 5.7 points per game and 2.9 rebounds per game last season.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Millikin will travel to compete in the UChicago Midway Classic facing the University of Chicago on Friday, November 15 at 6 PM CT.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Both programs have only met once in each school's history. 
* Millikin earned the victory over Rose-Hulman during the 2004 season with a final score of 68-59. 
* This will be the first time both teams have faced off in 10 years.
