Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host Principia Thursday Night

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Fightin' Engineers women's basketball team will return home to host Principia on Thursday, November 14 at 7 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 0-2 overall this season after falling in a heartbreaking loss to Millikin in overtime with a final score of 86-80. 
* Jamie Baum is the team's leading scorer with 26.0 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game. 
* Julia Meyer (13.5), Sophia Reese (10.5), and Emma Schipp (10.0) are also averaging double figures in scoring. 
* Schipp leads the team with Baum averaging 7.0 rebounds per game. 
* Reese leads the team in assists with 8 so far this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish sixth in the HCAC preseason poll receiving 46 points. 
* The team finished last season with a record of 12-14 overall and 9-9 in the HCAC. 
* Rose-Hulman advanced to the HCAC Tournament and fell to Franklin in the first round with a final score of 73-69. 
Jamie Baum earned 1st-Team all-HCAC honors and Grace Roland was named the HCAC Newcomer of the Year last season.
* Both Baum and Roland along with CK Gallegos RodriguezAnaya Hawkins, and Sophia Reese have been named Players to Watch by the HCAC for the upcoming season.
* The team adds seven new faces to the team this year including Reagan LorenzenJulia MeyerEmma SchippMadi D'EliaSierra SnowdenKatelyn Fennell, and Anaya Hawkins.
* After hosting Principia, Rose-Hulman will travel to compete in the Midwest Challenge taking on #18 WashU on Saturday, November 30 at 6 PM CT.

PRINCIPIA NOTES:
* Principia College stands at 2-0 overall this season after picking up wins over Welch College 77-59 and Covenant College 72-67. 
* Taylor Brown leads the team with 16.5 points per game. 
* Ariana Williams (13.0) and Carolina Rojas (12.0) also average double figures in scoring. 
* Williams and Trinniti Matthews lead the team on the boards averaging 8.5 rebounds per game. 
* Lamiya Terrell and Rojas have recorded a team-high six assists each so far this season. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, the Panthers will travel to take on the University of the Ozarks on Saturday, November 16 at 1 PM. 

SERIES HISTORY:
* This is the first ever meeting between both teams in either schools history.
