ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Rose-Hulman women's basketball team suffered a loss to #11 WashU on the first day of the Midwest Challenge with a final score of 105-54. This drops the team to 1-3 overall this season.
Jamie Baum led the team with 14 points, two assists, and four steals.
Emma Schipp was the Fightin' Engineers leading rebounder with six.
WashU took control of the contest early jumping to an 11-point lead at the end of the first quarter with a score of 29-18.
The Bears controlled the momentum for the remainder of the contest to pick up the win over the Fightin' Engineers.
Rose-Hulman will look to bounce back taking on DePauw University on Sunday, December 1 at 2 PM CT in the consolation final of the Midwest Challenge.
