Women's Soccer Takes on Transylvania in HCAC Semifinal Wednesday Night

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team will host Transylvania in the HCAC Semifinal on Wednesday, November 6 at 7 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers earned the #2 seed in the HCAC Tournament after finishing the regular season with a record of 8-7-1 overall and 7-1-1 in the conference.
* The team enters the semifinal match against Transylvania after defeating Manchester in their regular season finale with a final score of 6-0.
Kyra Hicks is the team's leader in points with 18 on eight goals and two assists so far this season.
Camille ClarkSydnee Schuler, Emma Johns, and Katie Choi have also scored multiple goals with Schuler totaling six and Clark, Johns, and Choi tallying two.
* Lauren Marquardt is the team's assist leader with four this season.
Lily Doré has been the keeper for the Fightin' Engineers all season long totaling 40 saves with a goals-against average of 1.35 and a save percentage of 66.7%.
* The team finished fourth overall in the HCAC last season compiling a record of 8-4-5 overall and 5-2-1 in the HCAC. 
* The Fightin' Engineers fell short in the semifinal round of the HCAC Tournament against Hanover College with a final score of 2-0. 
* With a win against the Pioneers, Rose-Hulman will advance to the HCAC Championship to play the winner of Mount St. Joseph and Hanover on Saturday, November 9. 

TRANSYLVANIA NOTES:
* The Transylvania Pioneers advanced to the HCAC Semifinal match after a win over Franklin with a final score of 2-1 in the opening round. 
* The Pioneers finished the regular season with a 6-1-2 conference record to claim the #3 seed in the postseason tournament. 
* With the win over Franklin, Transylvania now sits at 8-5-3 overall this season.
* The Pioneers are led by Maddi Benjamin with eight goals this season and 18 points. 
* Eva Blanke leads the team in assists with four this season.
* Carrie Stevens represents the Pioneers in goal with 84 saves and an 83.2% save percentage. 
* With a win, Transylvania will advance to the HCAC Championship to play with the winner of Mount St. Joseph and Hanover on Saturday, November 9.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman trails in the all-time series between both teams with a record of 7-12-2 overall against the Pioneers.
* The teams met during the regular season ending the match in a draw with a score of 1-1. 
* Rose-Hulman has a home record of 4-5-2 overall when hosting Transylvania.
