Volleyball Hits the Road to Face Anderson in HCAC Action Wednesday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's volleyball team will continue conference play traveling to face Anderson on Wednesday, November 6 at 7 PM.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman enters the pivotal match up with Anderson with a record of 10-16 overall and 3-4 in the HCAC.
* The Fightin' Engineers currently rank tied for sixth in the HCAC standings with the Ravens in a tie for the final spot in the HCAC Tournament.
* Rose-Hulman has earned back-to-back sweeps against conference opponents defeating Bluffton 3-0 and Franklin 3-0. 
* Lily Ebright has been the defensive standout all season setting the school record for digs in a single match earlier this year against Berea with 58 digs.
* This is the fourth most digs in a single match since the NCAA began tracking individual match records. 
* Ebright leads all of NCAA Division III with 699 total digs and 7.06 digs per set. 
* Hannah Bergfeld became the sixth person in school history to record a triple-double in a match earlier this season. 
* Bergfeld has now totaled three triple-doubles on the year in the matches against Olivet, Trine, and Berea.
* She currently leads the HCAC and ranks fifth in all of NCAA Division III with three triple-doubles this season.
* Amaya Harrell has been a key contributor leading the team and ranking sixth in the conference with 66 blocks this season.
* Harrell has also been a productive weapon offensively with 220 kills and a team-high 29.6% attack percentage.
* Desiree Beverley has been the impact maker offensively leading the team with 231 kills averaging 2.33 kills per set.
* Jillian Gregg has also been a playmaker on offense with 213 kills averaging 2.15 kills per set. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have been selected to finish fifth in this year's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preseason poll receiving 46 points. 
* Rose-Hulman finished in sixth place in the conference last season with a 15-14 record overall and a 4-5 conference record. 
* The squad returns two all-conference players from last year including Lily Ebright and Jillian Gregg.
* Ebright has been named the HCAC Defensive Player of the Year in the last two seasons. 
* After facing Anderson, Rose-Hulman will return home for Senior Day against Manchester on Saturday, November 9 at 1 PM. 

ANDERSON NOTES:
* The Ravens stand at 16-7 overall and 3-4 in the HCAC entering Wednesday's match.
* The team comes off a loss to Hanover with a final score of 3-1. 
* Anderson ranks sixth in the conference standings in a tie with Rose-Hulman for the last spot in the postseason tournament with just two matches remaining. 
* Jayda Lanham leads the team with 242 kills this season and 2.95 kills per set. 
* Reece Kral is another offensive weapon for the Ravens with 232 kills, a team-high 3.01 kills per set, and a 28.1% attack percentage. 
* Blythe Young leads the team with 879 assists averaging 10.59 assists per set.
* Lauren Dungan is the defensive standout with 413 digs averaging 5.04 digs per set. 
* After hosting Rose-Hulman, the Ravens will wrap up their regular season on the road at Earlham College on Saturday, November 9 at 2 PM.

* Rose-Hulman trails the all-time series between both teams with a record of 12-17 against the Ravens. 
* The Fightin' Engineers won last year's match with a final score of 3-1. 
* Anderson last defeated Rose-Hulman during the 2022 season with a final of 3-1. 
* Rose-Hulman has a record of 5-8 on the road when facing Anderson.
