Volleyball Celebrates Senior Day Against Manchester Saturday

GAME NOTES

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's volleyball team will wrap up their 2024 season hosting Manchester for Senior Day on Saturday, November 9 at 1 PM.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman enters the weekend with a record of 10-17 overall and 3-5 in the HCAC this season.
* The Fightin' Engineers come off a loss to Anderson University on Wednesday with a final score of 3-1.
* The loss against Anderson eliminates the Fightin' Engineers from the HCAC Tournament. 
* Lily Ebright has been the defensive standout all season setting the school record for digs in a single match earlier this year against Berea with 58 digs.
* This is the fourth most digs in a single match since the NCAA began tracking individual match records. 
* Ebright leads all of NCAA Division III with 746 total digs and 7.24 digs per set. 
* Hannah Bergfeld became the sixth person in school history to record a triple-double in a match earlier this season. 
* Bergfeld has now totaled three triple-doubles on the year in the matches against Olivet, Trine, and Berea.
* She currently leads the HCAC and ranks ninth in all of NCAA Division III with three triple-doubles this season.
* Amaya Harrell has been a key contributor leading the team and ranking sixth in the conference with 69 blocks this season.
* Harrell has also been a productive weapon offensively with 235 kills and a team-high 29.5% attack percentage.
* Desiree Beverley has been the impact maker offensively leading the team with 243 kills averaging 2.36 kills per set.
* Jillian Gregg has also been a playmaker on offense with 225 kills averaging 2.18 kills per set. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have been eliminated from the HCAC Tournament and will end their season against Manchester on Saturday. 

MANCHESTER NOTES:
* Manchester enters the weekend with a record of 16-9 overall and 6-2 in the HCAC this season.
* The Spartans currently rank third in the HCAC standings. 
* The team comes off a win over Franklin in a five-set match 3-2. 
* The Spartans are led by Avery Ball with 298 kills averaging 3.14 kills per set. 
* Joy Maze is another strong hitter for the team with 216 kills averaging 2.45 kills per set. 
* Tiffany Watterson is the defensive standout with a team-high 317 digs averaging 3.45 digs per set. 
* Lily Lichtenbarger has been a force at the net for the Spartans leading the team with 91 blocks.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Manchester will look ahead to compete in the HCAC Tournament with the opening round set for Wednesday, November 13. 

MANCHESTER SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 15-10 overall agaisnt the Spartans. 
* The Fightin' Engineers fell short the last time both teams met with Manchester earning the win after five sets 3-2. 
* The last time Rose-Hulman defeated Manchester was during the 2022 season with a final score of 3-1. 
* Rose-Hulman has a home record of 9-4 when hosting Manchester.
