TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's volleyball team earned a hard-fought win over Manchester on Senior Day with a final score of 3-1.
The team took the time before the match to honor their three seniors
Jillian Gregg,
Sydney Naibauer, and
Angela Potts.Â
Gregg led the Fightin' Engineers tying her career high in kills with 14 and recording a double-double with 21 digs.
Amaya Harrell also reached double figures in kills with 10 in the match.Â
Lily Ebright reached a career milestone becoming just the third person in Rose-Hulman history to total over 2,000 career digs. Ebright led the defense finishing the match with 36 digs against the Spartans.Â
Rose-Hulman fell short in a tight first set with a score of 25-23. The team bounced back to take the second set 25-19 after a kill by Gregg to tie the match at one set apiece.
The Fightin' Engineers went on to win two competitive sets in the third and fourth to defeat the Spartans with scores of 25-22 and 25-22. Gregg finished the match with the game-winning kill in her final contest as a Fightin' Engineer.Â
This ends the 2024 campaign for the Fightin' Engineers. The team finished the year with a record of 11-17 overall and 4-5 in the HCAC.Â
