DECATUR, Ill. -- The Rose-Hulman men's basketball team suffered a road loss to Millikin University on Wednesday night with a final score of 58-49. This drops the team to 4-3 overall this season.
Kobe Stoudemire led the team in scoring with 11 points on the night shooting 4-8 from the field and 3-6 from beyond the arc.
Cole Pride and
Jack Jenniges followed Stoudemire with eight points each. Pride was the team's leader on the boards with six rebounds.
Millikin jumped to a 15-4 lead to start the game in the first eight minutes. The Fightin' Engineers battled back to cut the deficit to six after a made three-pointer by
Joey Schmitz before the halftime break. Rose-Hulman trailed 29-23 heading into the locker room.
The Fightin' Engineers got the lead down to as low as five points multiple times in the second half, but were unable to regain the lead and would suffer the loss to the Big Blue.
Rose-Hulman will look to bounce back on Saturday, December 14 as they return to HCAC play hosting Anderson at 3 PM.
