TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's basketball team hosted Franklin College on Friday night. The Fightin' Engineers picked up a win with a final score of 68-66. This advances the team to 12-13 overall and 10-8 in the HCAC.
The team took the time before the game to honor their senior
Bradley Harden. Harden was recognized by his teammates, friends, and family for his dedication to the Rose-Hulman men's basketball program.
Miles McGowen was exceptional recording his 10th double-double of the season with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Harden followed him with 13 points, and
Jack Jenniges also reached double figures with 11 points.
The Fightin' Engineers started the game off strong with a 18-6 run to start the game. A made layup by
Kobe Stoudemire with 2:06 left in the first half gave the team their largest lead of the night at 39-21.
The Grizzlies cut the lead to one with 1:32 remaining in the game with the score at 67-66, but Rose-Hulman was able to hold on with great defensive play in the final seconds to seal the win.
The Fightin' Engineers will travel to face Hanover College in the opening round of the HCAC Tournament on Sunday, 2/18 at 4 PM.
