TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team opens their 2024 spring trip with a pair of matches against Grove City and Wartburg on Monday, February 26 at 8 AM and 12 PM.

ROSE-HULMAN WOMEN'S TENNIS NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers come into the match at 0-3 on the season with a pair of losses to IUPUI and a loss to Wittenberg.
* Rose-Hulman fell to Wittenberg 8-1 on Saturday with their lone win coming at #1 singles.
* Taylor Goldman leads the Fightin' Engineers with five singles wins this season.
* Ruby Kauffman and Wynne Aldrich have each added three singles wins.
* In doubles, Goldman and Aldrich lead with four wins, and Ella Dorfmueller and Kauffman come in with a pair of wins.
* Rose-Hulman was picked to finish 2nd in the HCAC this spring after their 3rd place finish in 2022-23.
* The Fightin' Engineers will return to the court on Wednesday, February 28 at 10 AM to take on Davenport.

GROVE CITY NOTES:
* Grove City comes in at 12-3 on the season and finished the PAC season at 7-1.
* The Wolverines won the PAC Tournament Championship with a 5-2 win over Allegheny to earn their spot in the 2024 NCAA Tournament in May. It will be Grove City's first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2018-19 season.
* Catherine Petrovich leads the team in wins with 9 at #1 singles. Emily Ivory also has picked up 9 singles wins at #3 and #4.
* Ivory and Janel McCray lead the team in doubles wins with 10 at #1 doubles. Alyssa Good has also picked up 10 wins at #2 doubles this season.
* Grove City returns to the court on Tuesday, February 27 with a match against Wartburg.

WARTBURG NOTES:
* Wartburg comes into the match at 6-5 overall and 5-3 in the ARC this season.
* The Knights picked up conference wins over Nebraska Wesleyan, Buena Vista, Dubuque, Simpson, and Central in the fall season.
* Wartburg dropped their first two matches of the 2024 spring season to St. Olaf and Northwestern (IA) on February 17.
* A trio of Knights players lead the team with eight singles wins on the season including Georgia Nissen, Chihiro Ono, and Morgan Kathman.
* The #1 doubles team of Nissen and Natalie Kaiser has been lights out with a 13-2 record on the season.
* The Knights return to the court on Monday evening with a 5 PM match against Warner.

SERIES HISTORY:
* This will be the first-ever meeting between Rose-Hulman and Grove City in women's tennis.
* The lone meeting between the Fightin' Engineers and Wartburg came in 2016 in Orlando.
* The Knights came away with a 6-3 win in the lone meeting.
