NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team traveled to face Manchester University on Sunday, and they earned a 9-0 shutout win for their first HCAC win of the season. With the win, the Fightin' Engineers improve to 6-3 overall and 1-0 in the HCAC.
The Fightin' Engineers jumped to an early lead after sweeping the doubles competition.
Grant Paradowski and
Ervin Perkowski represented the team in No. 1 doubles with an 8-1 victory.
Andrew Leonard and
Chris Lian dominated at #2 doubles and
Lawson McCloskey and
Dale Loveland also brought home an 8-0 victory.
The team continued to have success sweeping the singles competition. Paradowski, Perkowski, Lian, and Leonard all picked up their second win of the day.
Renato Prado and
Corey Pollard also got on the board with wins at #4 and #6 singles.
Rose-Hulman will return to action on the road against DePauw University on Wednesday, March 13th at 5:30 PM.
