NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team opened up their conference schedule with 9-0 road win Manchester University on Sunday for their first win of the season.
The Fightin' Engineers got off to a strong start sweeping the doubles competition.
Wynne Aldrich and
Taylor Goldman earned the victory in No. 1 singles with a final score of 8-3. Doubles teams of

Catherine Millwood and
Brooke Carpenter/
Kiana Martin brought home 8-0 sweeps for the first doubles wins of the season for all four players.
The team was able to carry the momentum into singles competition to complete the shutout. Goldman earned the win at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-0 after holding her opponent to just 8 points won for the entire match. Aldrich claimed the victory at No. 2 singles with scores of 6-0, 6-2, and
Clark won at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-0.
Millwood, Carpenter, and Martin all picked up their wins singles wins of the season to help seal to 9-0 shutout victory for Rose-Hulman.
Rose-Hulman will travel to face DePauw on Tuesday, March 12th at 5:30 PM.
