GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team traveled to Greencastle and dropped Tuesday night's showdown with DePauw 8-1
DePauw took the early lead after sweeping the doubles competition 3-0.
Wynne Aldrich was able to pick up the Fightin' Engineers lone win in No. 2 singles after an exciting third set tiebreaker. Aldrich earned the win with a score of 1-6, 6-3, 10-8.
Taylor Goldman fell short in a close match at No. 1 singles. After dropping the first set 6-1, Goldman bounced back to win the second set 6-4, but she came up short in the third tiebreaker with a final score of 10-6.
Rose-Hulman will return home to host Hanover in HCAC action on Saturday, March 16th at 12 PM.
