TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team rolled on Saturday to a 7-2 victory over the Hanover Panthers in an HCAC showdown.
The Fightin' Engineers swept all three doubles matches to build a 3-0 lead early on in the match. They would clinch the win early in singles as
Taylor Goldman and
Wynne Aldrich rolled to win their matches at #1 and #2 singles by only dropping four total games.
Ella Dorfmueller picked up her first singles win of the season in a three-set thriller at #3 singles. She would win the second set tiebreak 7-4 and outlast her opponent in the third set tiebreaker to win it 10-7.
Brooke Carpenter also finished the day with a perfect 2-0 record as she rolled to a 6-3, 6-1 win at #6 singles.
With the win, Rose-Hulman improves to 2-8 on the season and 2-0 in the HCAC. The Fightin' Engineers return to action next weekend with a pair of home matches against Anderson on Saturday, March 23 and against IU-Kokomo on Sunday, March 24.
