Women's Tennis Hosts Hanover in HCAC Home Opener

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team returns to the court on Saturday, March 16 at 12 PM as they host the Hanover Panthers for their first home match of the HCAC season.

ROSE-HULMAN WOMEN'S TENNIS NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers come into the match at 1-8 on the season with a very hard schedule. The team has played four of their nine matches against Division I or Division II opponents.
* Rose-Hulman picked up their first win of the season on Saturday with a 9-0 result against Manchester, but they fell to DePauw on Tuesday 8-1.
* Taylor Goldman and Wynne Aldrich leads the Fightin' Engineers with eight singles wins this season. Aldrich brought home the lone match win against the Tigers in a three-set thriller at #2 singles.
* Camille Clark is the lone other active Rose-Hulman player with multiple singles wins this season.
* In doubles, Goldman and Aldrich lead with seven wins, and Ella Dorfmueller has added a pair.
* Brooke Carpenter, Kiana Martin, and Cathrine Millwood all picked up their first wins of the season in Saturday's win over Manchester.
* Rose-Hulman was picked to finish 2nd in the HCAC this spring after their 3rd place finish in 2022-23.
* The Fightin' Engineers will return to the Joy Hulbert Tennis Center on Saturday, March 23 at 12 PM as they host the Anderson Ravens.

HANOVER NOTES:
* Hanover comes in at 3-2 on the season and 1-0 in the HCAC.
* The Panthers have picked up wins over Johnson (TN), Berea, and Manchester while falling to Wittenberg and DePauw.
* Hanover beat Manchester 8-1 with their lone loss coming at #2 singles. Rose-Hulman beat Manchester 9-0.
* The Panthers fell to DePauw 9-0, but Rose-Hulman fell 8-1 with a win at #2 singles.
* Both teams fell 8-1 to Wittenberg with Hanover winning at #3 singles and Rose-Hulman winning at #1 singles.
* Isabelle Roberts leads the Panthers in singles wins this year with three.
* Four Panthers including Roberts, Rachel Pinnick, Hailey Vandeventer, and Lauren Hale lead the team with 2 doubles wins on the year.
* Hanover returns to action next Saturday as they host Transylvania University at the Zeddies Tennis Center.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Hanover leads the all-time series 18-10 over Rose-Hulman.
* The Fightin' Engineers won last season's match 5-4 at Hanover.
* Rose-Hulman and Hanover have split the last four meetings since 2021.
* Taylor Goldman comes in with a perfect 6-0 record against the Panthers, 3-0 in both singles and doubles.
