TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team remained perfect in HCAC play on the season on Saturday with a 6-3 victory over Anderson at the Terre Haute Tennis and Pickleball Center.
The Fightin' Engineers took an early 3-0 lead after sweeping the doubles matches.
Wynne Aldrich and
Taylor Goldman claimed the win at No. 1 singles with a final score of 8-3.The team of
Ella Dorfmueller and
Camille Clark (8-7) and team of
Brooke Carpenter and
Cathrine Millwood (8-3) also earned wins in doubles competition at the #2 and #3 spots.
Goldman led the Fightin' Engineers in No. 1 singles with a win 6-3, 6-0, and Aldrich followed her with the match-clinching victory at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Clark added a match victory at No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-3.
Rose-Hulman improves to 3-8 overall and 3-0 in the HCAC with the win. The Fightin' Engineers will host IU-Kokomo on Sunday, March 24 at 1 PM at the Joy Hulbert Tennis Center.
