TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team brought home a 9-0 sweep of the Anderson Ravens on Saturday afternoon at the Terre Haute Tennis and Pickleball Center.
The Fightin' Engineers opened the match quickly with a 3-0 lead after sweeping all three doubles matches.
Ervin Perkowski and
Grant Paradowski started it off with an 8-1 victory at #2 doubles.
Elijah Hadler opened off the singles scoring with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the #1 spot.
Owen Reynolds also outlasted his opponent in the #2 spot to win the third set tiebreak 10-5.
Rhian Seneviratne and
Chris Lian would close out the victory with a 6-1, 6-3 and a 6-4, 6-4 victory in the final two singles spots.
All six players would finish the day 2-0 overall with wins in both singles and doubles.
The Fightin' Engineers improve to 8-4 on the season and 3-0 in HCAC play. They will return to action on April 4 as they travel to Indianapolis to take on the Marian Knights in a mid-week showdown.
