TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team opens their 2024 HCAC play on Sunday at 10:30 AM against the Manchester Spartans.

ROSE-HULMAN WOMEN'S TENNIS NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers come into the match at 0-7 on the season with a very hard schedule. The teams has played four of their seven matches against Division I or Division II opponents.
* Rose-Hulman has fallen to Wittenberg (8-1), Grove City (6-3), and Wartburg (6-3) in their three D-III games.
* Taylor Goldman leads the Fightin' Engineers with seven singles wins this season.
* Wynne Aldrich has also added six singles wins after a 3-1 week in singles.
* In doubles, Goldman and Aldrich lead with six wins, and Ella Dorfmueller has added a pair.
* Rose-Hulman was picked to finish 2nd in the HCAC this spring after their 3rd place finish in 2022-23.
* The Fightin' Engineers will return to action with a midweek game on Tuesday, March 12 at 5:30 PM against the DePauw Tigers.

MANCHESTER NOTES:
* Manchester comes in at 0-6 overall and 0-1 in the HCAC this season.
* The Spartans have dropped both of their spring matches with a 7-2 loss to Olivet and an 8-1 loss to Hanover.
* Evelyn Minton is the lone Manchester player with multiple wins at 2-4 at 1 and 2 singles.
* In doubles, the lone doubles team to win a match is Avin Demaso and Carmen Ramirez at 2 doubles against Earlham.
* Manchester returns to action on Tuesday, March 12 as they travel to Trine to take on the Thunder.

SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series 17-8.
* Rose-Hulman has won 16 consecutive matches against the Spartans.
* The last Manchester win came in the 2009 HCAC tournament.
