TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team brought home an 8-1 victory at Franklin on Saturday to remain perfect in HCAC play.
The Fightin' Engineers opened up doubles play with a 3-0 advantage, winning 8-4 at #1 and #3 doubles.
Ella Dorfmueller and
Camille Clark pulled out the win at #2 doubles with an 8-7(7-3) victory.
In singles,
Taylor Goldman and
Wynne Aldrich rolled to 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-2 victories at the top two spots. Dorfmueller and Clark also added wins by only dropping five total games.
At the #6 spot,
Hayden Mattick picked up her first career varsity win with a 6-4, 6-4 victory.
With the win, Rose-Hulman improves to 4-11 on the season and 4-0 in the HCAC. They will return to the road on Tuesday, April 23 as they travel to Earlham to take on the Quakers in the second-to-last regular season match.
