RICHMOND, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team capped off their perfect 6-0 HCAC record on Sunday with a 9-0 victory over Earlham in their regular season finale.
The Fightin' Engineers cruised to an early 3-0 lead with a sweep in doubles. The closest match was an 8-4 victory at #1 by
Grant Paradowski and
Ervin Perkowski.
Singles matches brought more of the same for Rose-Hulman as Paradowski,
Renato Prado, and
Jonathon Stadler earned perfect 6-0, 6-0 victories.
Lawson McCloskey and Perkowski cruised to wins as well, only dropping two games each, and
Elijah Hadler won 6-3, 6-1 at #1 singles.
With the win, Rose-Hulman finishes the regular season with a 12-5 record and the #1 seed in the HCAC tournament. The Fightin' Engineers will travel to Lexington, Kentucky to play the winner of Hanover and Franklin in the HCAC Semifinals on Saturday, May 4 at Top Seed Tennis Center. With a win, they will play in the HCAC Championship match on Sunday, May 5 at Top Seed.
