RICHMOND, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis dropped a nail biter to Earlham on Sunday afternoon with a 5-4 loss in the regular season finale.
The Fightin' Engineers jumped out to an early 2-1 lead with the duos of

Wynne Aldrich and
Hayden Mattick /
Kiana Martin winning matches at #1 and #3 doubles.
In singles,
Ella Dorfmueller won 6-1, 6-0 at the 2 spot, and Mattick won 6-1, 7-5 at the 5 spot for the remaining two points.
With the loss the Fightin' Engineers fall to 4-13 on the season and 4-2 in the HCAC. Rose-Hulman finishes with the #2 seed in the HCAC Tournament, and they will travel to Lexington, Kentucky to play the winner of Anderson and Earlham in the HCAC Semifinals on Saturday, May 4 at Top Seed Tennis Center. With a win, they will play in the HCAC Championship match on Sunday, May 5 at Top Seed.
