ELSAH, Ill. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team fell to Principia 7-2 on Saturday afternoon in the St. Louis area.
Taylor Goldman and
Wynne Aldrich got the scoring started for the Fightin' Engineers with an 8-6 win at #1 doubles. Rose-Hulman trailed 2-1 following the doubles matches.
In singles, Aldrich brought home her twelth singles victory of the season with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win at #2 singles.
Goldman brought her match at #1 singles to a third set with a 7-5 victory in the second set tiebreaker, but she came up short in the third set breaker, 10-7.
The Fightin' Engineers fall to 3-10 overall on the season, and they will return to action on Wednesday, April 10 at 10 AM as they look to remain perfect in the HCAC with a match at Earlham College.
