CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team fell to Illinois Tech 5-3 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday afternoon.
The Fightin' Engineers fell behind 2-1 after the doubles matches with the lone win coming at the #3 spot as
Owen Reynolds and
Chris Lian held on for an 8-5 victory.
In singles play,
Rhian Seneviratne cruised to a 6-0, 6-4 victory at the #5 singles spot, and
Grant Paradowski took a back and forth battle with a 7-6(8-6), 6-4 victory at the #3 spot.
The Fightin' Engineers finish the season at 14-6 overall and their eighth HCAC title in the last nine seasons.
