Today's senior spotlight is Simon Blair, a Mechanical Engineering major from Wagoner, Oklahoma. Blair is a senior on the Rose-Hulman men's basketball team, and has been named an Academic All-HCAC and CSC Academic All-District selection in each of the last two years.

RHITSports: What are you looking forward to most about returning to Rose-Hulman for preseason workouts?
Simon Blair: I am mostly looking forward to getting to know the new team during those first open gyms.

RHITSports: What is your most memorable moment at Rose-Hulman throughout the last three years?
Blair: I can't pick just one best moment, but the comeback win at Manchester with 7 guys my sophomore year, winning great freshman floor my freshman year, and drinking RC Cola from the Mutchner Cup are what come to mind first.

RHITSports: What is your biggest hidden talent?
Blair: My biggest hidden talents are whistling, Guitar Hero, trivia, and spelling.

RHITSports: What are your future plans after graduating from Rose-Hulman?
Blair: I am planning to get a job hopefully in the aerospace or automotive fields and one day start a family.

RHITSports: Who has made the biggest impact on your life?
Blair: The people who have made the biggest impact on my life are definitely my parents. They shaped me into who I am today, and they showed me how to work hard, treat other people with respect and kindness, and sacrifice for others.

RHITSports: What is the best piece of advice that you can give to the incoming freshmen at Rose-Hulman?
Blair: The best piece of advice I can give is to get yourself out of your comfort zone, meet as many new people as you can, and work hard in everything you do.
