Men's Soccer Battle Millikin on the Road Saturday

GAME NOTES

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team will hit the road to take on Millikin this Saturday, September 14 at 3 PM CT.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineer's enter their contest against the Millikin Big Blue with a record of 1-1-2
* The team comes off their first win of the season after defeating DePauw on Tuesday with a final score of 1-0.
* Tyler Eldridge was the hero for the Fightin' Engineers scoring the lone goal on an assist by Julius Salinas to defeat the Tigers. 
* Eldridge leads the team this year with two goals in their first four matches. 
John Biederstedt has been in goal for the Fightin' Engineers this season totaling 16 saves with a 1.25 goals against average and 76.2% save percentage. 
* Rose-Hulman has been selected to win the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in the league's preseason poll receiving 79 points and 7 first-place votes.
* The Fightin' Engineers finished last season with a record of 12-5-3 overall and 6-2-1 in the HCAC to claim the #3 seed in the postseason tournament. 
* The team went on to win the HCAC Tournament taking out the top two teams in the league to advance to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament. 
* Rose-Hulman suffered a close loss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Ohio Wesleyan with a final score of 2-0.
* The squad returns four all-conference players from last year's team including Peter BorgerJohn BiederstedtElijah Hardersen, and Chase Kedzior
* Along with the returning all-conference players, Julius SalinasJacob Pohl, and Tyler Eldridge have been named players to watch by the HCAC. 
* After traveling to Millikin, the Fightin' Engineers will return home to host #15 Ohio Northern on Saturday, September 21 at 3:30 PM.

MILLIKIN NOTES: 
* Millikin enters the contest against Rose-Hulman with a record of 2-1 so far this season. 
* The Big Blue are coming off a win against Rockford University with a final score of 3-1. 
* Michael McFarlane leads the team this season with two goals and four points on the year. 
* Oliwier Holowinski and Chase Mandra have split time in goal with Holowinski leading the duo with three saves, 2.61 goals against average, and a 37.5% save percentage. 
* Millikin has been selected to finish sixth in this year's CCIW preseason poll after finishing last season with a record of 6-9-1 overall and 2-6 in the CCIW.
* After hosting Rose-Hulman, Millikin will travel to face Illinois College on Wednesday, September 18 at 7 PM.
